Sevier County 24-Hour Releases
The Sevier County Sheriff's Office does not publish a verified feed of people released during the prior day. Its official online tool is an Inmate Roster with text search. The tool is built for current custody. It has no official control labeled recent releases, released inmates, release date, release reason, or 24-hour releases. A roster entry can help confirm that SCSO currently lists a person, but it cannot be turned into a same-day release feed by saving or comparing names.
This distinction matters at the Jail and Jail Annex. Both locations are part of the same SCSO custody system. A person may leave one building for the other, go to court, transfer to the Tennessee Department of Correction, move on a warrant, or enter federal or immigration custody. Only a documented discharge to the person establishes a community release. A court order may authorize release, while the jail transaction supplies the actual date, time, and destination.
Current and former custody also require different evidence. A live roster match concerns the present SCSO publication. A release sheet concerns a completed booking event. A General Sessions or Criminal Court record can explain the bond, dismissal, judgment, or sentence behind that event. When sources disagree, use the office responsible for each fact: SCSO for physical release time, the court for its order, and TDOC or another receiving agency for the next custody stage. Do not select one date merely because it appears first online.
Check Sevier County Same-Day Releases
A valid same-day check uses a defined Eastern Time interval and a named booking. Start with the person, not a broad list request. Full name, date of birth, inmate ID, booking number, and an approximate booking date help SCSO separate repeat bookings and people with similar names. Record the exact time of the roster search because the sheriff does not publish an update cadence.
- Search the official SCSO roster and note the observation time. A match means the person is currently published there, subject to operational lag.

Terms must be read with care. “Bond” ends local detention under the court's terms, but the case continues. “Time served” concerns the confinement ordered in that count and does not erase other holds. “Transfer” and “detainer” point to a new custodian. “Parole” and “probation” mean confinement ended with supervision still active. Sevier County Current Roster Limits
The current roster is useful as a time-stamped observation. Its live detail can publish identity and physical descriptors, inmate ID, booked date, charge information, sometimes bond, a booking image, and a VINE status-alert link. Research did not verify a release date or release-reason field on that interface. It also found no stated post-release retention window. Therefore, no one can safely infer that an entry stays online for a fixed part of the day after release.

Midnight can complicate a same-day window. Sevier County is in Eastern Time, while some state or federal displays may omit a time zone. Quote the date and time as the agency displays them. The official Sevier County Sheriff TN mobile app is a genuine agency channel published by Sevier County Government on the OCV platform. Its public description promotes agency communication, tips, news, and interactive functions. Research did not verify a separate app-only 24-hour release list, release archive, or routine release-photo stream. The app should be treated as an agency news and contact route unless a current installed version visibly offers more.
